FACT SHEET Rock Creek Fire Beartooth Ranger District August 25, 2013 7:30 p.m. Information Officers: Katie Knotek, Tom Rhode, Claire Pitner Fire Information Line: (406) 446-1041 with answering machine Office hours: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Incident: The Rock Creek Fire started on August 20, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. of unknown origin and is under investigation. Location: 5 miles southwest of Red Lodge, along U.S. Highway 212. Agency Jurisdiction: USDA Forest Service, Custer and Gallatin National Forest Cooperating Agencies: Red Lodge Fire Rescue, Carbon County Sheriff’s Office, Carbon County DES. Incident Management: Under unified command, Shawn Pearson’s Northern Rockies Type 2 Incident Management Team (IMT) with Red Lodge Fire Rescue. The Incident Command Post (ICP) is located at the Carbon County Fairgrounds in Red Lodge, MT.
