A community meeting will be held tonight at 6:00 p.m. at the Carbon County Fairgrounds (Incident Command Post). The meeting will include discussion of current status of the Rock Creek Fire, incident management over the past week, transfer of command between Incident Management Teams and rehab efforts that will occur in the burned area. Shawn Pearson's Type II Incident Management Team will transfer command of the fire to a local Type III Team on Tuesday morning, September 3, at 6:00 a.m. Jeff Gildehaus, Beartooth Ranger District, will be the point of contact for fire information beginning September 3. Jeff's office is located at the Beartooth Ranger Station, and he can be contacted by phone at (406) 446-4584 or by email at jgildehaus@fs.fed.us. The current fire information line: (406) 446-1041 will be disconnected and the Rock Creek Fire gmail account (rockcreekfire2013@gmail.com) will not be used after September
