Final UpdateSoutheastern Montana Complex Today's update will be the last one posted for this complex, but the work of recovery from the fires goes on. Firefighters will continue to mop up hot spots on the Ash Creek and Taylor Creek Fires. Hundreds of miles of fireline are yet to be rehabilitated, so dozers and excavators will be working in the fire area for many days to come. The camp at St. Labre will remain in place for a few more shifts.Firefighters will maintain their vigilance in spotting and reporting new fire starts from recent lightning, and remain ready to respond to new fires as requested. As the weather dries and warms up, latent hot spots left over from lightning storms are expected to become visible. Rehabilitation work is expected to be finished on the Coal Seam Fire today, leaving the Ash Creek and Taylor Creek Fires as the only fires requiring additional work.
